We have too much hassle just liaising with Santa over stocking contents (ie, I'm way too disorganised) to be able to manage a gift-for-each day sort of calendar, and in our house sweets aren't really an option... What does Santa bring to other families? We could always tell which of my parents had made which suggestions to Santa - mum was responsible for all the pretty and useful little things like soaps, hair bobbles and fancy pencils, and dad for the false teeth with a whistle in the corner, the puzzles and the sugar pig... ;D

Not keen on these modern big stockings. >:(I used one of my dad's, and it was the bulges that were so exciting on Christmas morning. These commercial ones don't bulge - and they're too damned big!
Put Christmas tree up today and had first samplings of mulled wine - good stuff, from Winemark, for £2.89 a bottle. (Do you have this outside N.I?) Hardly worth making it yourself when all you have to do is unscrew a bottle and put it in a pot with a chopped orange. Anybody else found any good ones?

I told my family I am not doing the whole present thing this year....except for receiving. Christmas is boring now!
