I record all the time. Trouble is, i've lost the lead to connect my minidisc to the computer Now had to send off for one from Japan, much cheaper than Sony I encourage my pupils to record their prepared pieces throughout the year, then we make CD's for presents at Christmas which goes down rather well.

I do this if they play anything especially well and just before events such as exams and festivals. The parents love the resulting cds. Wonderful, isn't it, that electronics are now so cheap that we can afford to do this. 10 years ago, sufficiently sensitive equipment was out of the reach of all except professional recording companies.
