It's OK. That is not some sort of terrorist threat. Actually, it is not OK. Be afraid. Be very afraid. One of the advantages of Steve's cuddle-every-kid-in-sight approach is that said Steve gets lung-fulls of every bug going. Over the years, this builds up an immune system that would laugh at your average flue pandemic; it would consider the Black Death to be some sort of infantile upstart of a minor ailment. The downside is; when he gets a bug, he gets it big time. Right now, I am snotting for the universe. This is not a great problem for me, because my body will have dealt with the intruder by the morning. Sadly, I passed it onto pupils this evening. Unless arrested and quarantined, these kids will pass on the bug to their nearest and dearest.............. The rest of you will start to feel the symptoms of Steve's Unstoppable Bug very soon. It has been nice knowing you all. ;D

Heh, heh. Imagine what gets sneezed/coughed/spluttered/dribbled/vomited over me every day, then! I get a Big Time bug about once every five or six years - the rest of the time my immune system just issues a hollow laugh and I have to carry on going back to work. The best bug to get though is the Not Big Time bug which nevertheless robs me of my voice. Great for the sympathy vote, I don't use it to sing (arrgh, please, no...) anyway, and I can't work. er...or yell at the kids. Steve, what I want to know now is: is your bug one of my Big Timers, or am I going to laugh it off? *thinks* Last BTB was probably only four years ago...I think. Get well soon, though.

Of course we're all going to die. Death is up there with tax as one of life's certainties.
Have some home-made soup and an early night. If you're still feeling rough after that, go and splutter on anacrusis your GP.
My immune system seems pretty good. Must be due to being a child of the 70s, when children spent the morning in the garden digging up worms and eating soil.

Get well soon Steve.
Given my Father in-law is a retired life actuary, I'm sure he'd give you the odds of you dying from this one! But I doubt you will. Sounds different from the local lergy round here. Cold goes straight to chest... interesting when your an asthmatic!

Yep. Body is dealing with bug quite nicely. I am snuffling a lot less, so those stomping great killer cells are murdering the virus without killing host cells as well. There you have the extent of my medical knowledge; good thing I am a pianist. ;D So, I will be okay by later today, tomorrow at the latest. The rest of you are doomed, apart from Anacrusis.

I spent most of yesterday feeling nauseous, then lightheaded, and finally tired. Today it's morphed into stiff with an occasional tickly cough and headache . Remind me not to open PMs from Steve again .
