I'm back! I have broadband, but more importantly I have two cats!! Went to the rescue centre, the intention (honestly) being to look at single cats. But I fell for a pair They are so pretty! Pictures coming when we find the box with the camera cable in... They need names - currently Madeline and Matilda, which is a bit of a mouthful, so all suggestions welcomed Otherwise two little girls will be Mad and Mat before we know it!

Welcome to the happy status of cat owner.
I decided cats were philosophical, hence plato getting his name. If you stick with the names you could always call them Maddie and Tilly. I suppose you could always call them crotchet and minim!

Ben, they're girl cats! Suzy what colour are they? What about Wendy and Tink' (short for tinkerbell, but that's too much fuss)

Crotchet and minin sonds pretty good! We got two female cats from the sanctuary several years ago and called them Hazlenut and Coconut, since it was Hallowe'en at the time. (Hazel and Coco for short.)

When Plato and Gandalf eventualyy loose the last of their nine lives (which I hope is a good few years away) I want another tom kitten (we got the boys at 7 weeks old and they were adorable). This one I want to call Pushkin. If we get a pair I'll let hubby name the other one. The house would feel empty without a cat.

They're silver tabbies, one of whom has a random ginger splodge above her eye. Numerous suggestions have been knocked back (mostly from sister, by hubby). No sad music/medic terms allowed.

Hi SuzyMac . I didn't realise it was lack of broadband that was keeping you away: I thought they were just working you too hard . Good to see you back too . How are things going at the moment? Don't have any cat name suggestions, too unimaginative, but all I can say is awwww, I want some .

How about Hinge & Bracket, or does that qualify as a silly musical name?!!! ;D
We have 3 black and white cats (hubby is a Newcastle Utd supporter), Tom, Jessie and Geordie.

Don't get me wrong, AP - they have been working me too hard Have been devoid of SHO and Reg these last two weeks, so it's been an achievement to leave on time 50% of the days! It's great - the ward bossed by senior staff evenings, nights and weekends, by a three-month-old house officer in the days ;D We may have a breakthrough...watching LOTR last night...Merry and Pippin That this is the only film hubby and I agree comes close to being as good as the books! I think it suits them
