What's its mileage? ;D
Have just read through the minutes of my little sprog's School Board (or should that read School Bored?) - and it looks like the staff are about to go through an Ofsted too...gulp. Lucky I'm no longer the Chairman/person any more!

I'm REEEEELLLLLY angry now! Although OFSTED rated me very highly indeed last week, I was slated and branded "inadequate" earlier on in the year by an adviser from our LEA. I've been through place where satan lives this year trying to disprove his pathetic assessment of my teaching (which nearly drove me out of teaching altogether). The man hasn't a clue - didn't understand my lesson plan, the kids reactions to what I was doing, my methodology.....not a clue. And then having branded me (and several of my colleagues) , he did NOTHING to help or support us. SO, guess what? He's now been appointed to be our "Schools Improvement Partner"!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHH!!
I can't believe we have to put up with this ####

Lots and lots of sympathy PJ. It doesn't do you any good, but at least you have it.

If the overall Ofsted was good, though, maybe he won't have to be involved that much? I don't know how it works elsewhere, but the leaflet we got from Ofsted said that they would be concentrating their resources where need was greatest, ie breathe down the necks of schools which are struggling the most. Our school is being Ofstedded for the first time in eighteen years, though the city education department did its own internal review thing about four or five years ago (a much less threatening process, I think).
