Assuming those dates of birth you both entered are right of course . Looks like you were both born on exactly the same day . Hope you both have a great day .

Well I never!! One of the admin staff at school also has her birthday today. And we are in good company - John Major and Bett Lynch!!
Year 11 brought in chocolate cake and (very P C!!) ONE candle and a box of matches....they lit the candle, sang Happy Birthday to me, I blew out the candle and wished like mad that they'd all get A* in the GCSE!!!

That is a surprise and thanks for the good wishes everyone. Petite Joueuse you have done better than me in celebrating it. By common accord with the rest of the family celebrations are being withheld until the weekend (by which time I hope I might have got over the bronchitis, sinusitis and ear infection from which I am currently suffering )

Oh, goodness, Kerioboe - in which case, many happy healthy returns...and I hope you have a good celebration in a few days' time. PJ - our family always get one extra candle at birthdays... - one big central one with hearts on it just for existing, then the ones for the years ;D. They don't go on a cake, but on a set of wooden rings which sit on the table, which saves on wax fallout- but I reckon your school's solution was ideal...

Thanks everybody.
Best present of all was a DVD of William Christie and Les Arts Florissants perfoming Rameau's Les Indes Galantes - a long-time favourite piece for me, but to be able to watch such an over-the-top lavish performance of it, is just brilliant! It was wrapped in a plastic bag (yeah - who said French men were romantic?)
