Noticed that this is grade 6 on AB new syllabus, no wonder I can't play it . I need help with the fingering of bar 9 - right hand. Does anyone have a decent suggestion of which fingers to use?

Ist 4 semis: 5\3, 4\2, 3\1, 4\2 Last 4: 3\1, 4, 3\2\1, 5 then skip to 5 at the top of the following chord. Nasty little passage to play. Have fun. Steve

Yeah it is, started playing it there for a while, some very tricky passages!

I think the AB have been stalking AP, she's played two of the List B pieces on the new Grade 6 syllabus already - the Schubert, and the Mendelssohn 'Song Without Words'.

It's true: they must be stalking me . Not too happy about it really as it somewhat narrows down my choice for list B when I eventually do grade 6 since I like to learn new pieces for exams . They were nice pieces too. Could always do the old syllabus (probably doing it in March so not starting working any time soon...) although I always wonder what the examiners will think. Will they be sick of the pieces or just think that I'm only doing that syllabus because I've had to spend 2 and a half years learning the pieces? I haven't heard the other pieces on the new list yet so I'll make an effort to find out what they're like nearer the time . I use the fingering Steve suggests except that instead of jumping 5 for the first chord of bar 10 I put 4 over to play the F at the top. I think it's reasonably tricky for a grade 6 piece; I think the Mendelssohn is slightly easier: the parallel sixths in the Schubert can be tricky to keep together.
