I'd like to do grade 5 theory in November but I haven't told my teacher this yet. I'm currently working through a grade 4 theory workbook.

ATCL recital in mid-June, and feet feeling a bit chilly What are you playing? recorders - a sonata by Cima on the tenor, a theme and variations/divisions by Jakob van Eyck on descant, an avant-garde set of fantasias/scherzi by Hans-Martin Linde, and a violin sonata by Corelli, both on treble. The Cima should be OK, the van Eyck has very fiddly fingerings, the Linde just lots to think about at once, and violinists only need to breathe to live, which scotches the Corelli somewhat.

LTCL piano at the end of the year (hopefully) Is this the dip for which the programme you're talking about in the other thread is intended ? Or are you doing dipABRSM as well? The only reason I ask is that, if it is you won't get the opportunity to defend your programme choice in the viva. Sorry for the brief diversion .

Grade 8 Piano, November LRSM singing, probably the same session, but as I know most of my programme and have already written programme notes on most of them, it shouldn't be a problem. LmusTCL probably next year. It'll be great having to study a piece of music in great detail again.

Always intended doing the LTCL for my performance diploma, hoping to take the dipABRSM in piano teaching though as well, that will probably be next year although i'm not very good these days at getting on with things (children, work, kitchen extension etc.) Programme still stands:- Mozart sonata in D K576 Bach partita in C minor (complete) Chopin nocturne in Db Szymanowkski etude no. 3 or 4, can't remember!!!

I'm going to do my grade 8 piano and grade 8 sax. One at Christmas and one at Easter. not sure which way round yet. Depends how brave I am!!!! I'd like to doa diploma on the flute as well but they cost so much. It would be silly to do the DipABRSM cus I have the old Advanced Certificate, and I have a Bmus GRNCM on flute already, but it really does cost so much. Maybe I can do the two grade 8's at Christmas and Easter, and save up to do a diploma then this time next year.
