I hope this isn't classed as advertising on here What music shops online does everyone use? For my woodwind stuff I usually order from June Emerson, and sometimes NetMusicalInstruments. For piano, well I used to order from Musicmakers but they don't have a massive range of music, so I use NetMusicalInstruments or Musicroom.

I use musicroom mostly, used to use St Georges at Norwich as it's one of my local stores. Lately i've been eating up lots of stuff off ebay for pupils

I get too addicted to Ebay and once I start on there I can't stop (Helen will vouch for that) so I have to not go on there whenever possible!

www.musicroom.com is my first port of all. If I'm looking for something schooly, then I go to Forwoods music. If I'm looking for something really obscure, then its www.di-arezzo.com (gets shipped from Paris and billed in Euros, but their collection of Latin-American Baroque choral stuff is stunning!!)

I've bought a few things through e-bay (but not as much as Husband ;D), and occasionally through Chamberlain, but I tend to do most of my music shopping in bricks-and-mortar shops.
CDs are a different story - amazon all the way. Ever tried buying a complete recording of an opera in WHSmith?

For recorder music it has to be the recorder shop in Bristol. Am useless at internet shopping though - have a fear of my card being nicked electronically.

We're in Wells for a week in the summer, so I might drop by. Leave hubby and boys going for a walk somewhere. I understand there's lots of nice bits near Bristol Town Cenre. I think hubby might like the bit near Clifton Suspension Bridge

I also tend to use a brick shop. There's a super one in a town about 10 miles away which has just about everything I need for my students. Anything more obscure and he gets it for me. Owned by a lovely old man. I try to support local businesses if I can. I sometimes also use e-bay. It's especially good for anything out of print, although my music shop does have a second hand department, which I could get lost in for hours...
