Just found out what I'll be accompanying in someone's violin LTCL later this year: Mozart - Sonata for Violin and Piano in Eb, K481 Beethoven - Romance in G, Op. 40 Sarasate - Zigeunerweisen Beethoven - Violin Sonata Op. 30 No. 1 in A, 2nd mvmt. Some rather good repertoire, I think I'll enjoy it .

Lovely programme, YAP. Did you know that Mozart originally composed the 'violin' sonatas as piano sonatas with violin accompaniment? Most of the time, your 'soloist' will be doing nothing of any importance at all, whilst you will be running your fingers ragged? Steve

Yes, thankfully his playing will be being examined not mine; so as long as the harmony remains in-tact all is well .

The exam was yesterday, as it happens, not last November - the exam was rescheduled after the examiner was taken ill last year. Now just have to wait for Trinity to release the result .

And the result is in - he passed, with 73/100 . He couldn't have done it without you. Well done, both of you.
