Just tried to download a recording from the forumrecordings website, and I got the following error: Internet Explorer cannot download {filename} from www.forumrecordings.co.ukInternet Explorer was not able to open this Internet site. The requested site is either unavailable or cannot be found. Please try again later. Is it me or is it the machine?

It doesn't work on mine either. I read though that this message appeared on some people's screen:
Internal Server Error The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, admin@server13.web-mania.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.
More information about this error may be available in the server error log.
That only comes up if one tries to incorrectly download the music.

Yeah, I read that some people had got that message too, Nat. Turns out they weren't right-clicking and saving, though. Which I was doing.
In a way it's comforting that it's not just me, but disappointing as there were a few recordings I wanted to catch up.

I have tried it right clicking and saving. It downloads but doesn't play.
My point about that message was that perhaps it should be pointed out, again, that one needs to right click etc, not just click on the recording. That might be possibly one of the reasons it has gone down, I don't know.

Fortunately it's 'not my problem' . I'll get onto the hosting company later on, see what they've done to cause the error to happen.

Thanks YAP.
Nat - I'll make that point on TOP again (!) and reiterate that left-clicking is counterproductive in the long run.
Cheers both

OK, the site is fixed. Some sort of server-side security upgrade caused the problem.

Cool. "Functional enhancements" eh? Always a killer (I should know, I've written a few in my time.. )

Yes, an Apache security upgrade that blocks access to files called 'get.php' .
