I prefer the Classical and Romantic. Also liking 20th century stuff a lot more since I came to uni.

Good man . Any idea how much chalumeau repertoire is playable on a modern clarinet?

Not sure, the chalmeau range as far as I know was quite limited, and the modern clarinet range is big, whether this has an effect then on what can be played etc.

I've not a clue. I haven't played clarinet for ages actually, it's been sitting in the box for a while...meanwhile flutey has been making more of an appearence...

I like some Baroque stuff. I've played the Tartini concertino on clarinet which is all fab apart from the second movement. I also like the Bach sonata I did for grade 8 sax.

Baroque, which is just as well since I'm a recorder player. Classical next, early romantic yes, very florid romantic leaves me a bit puzzled. Twentieth century - some, and not with any obvious pattern. Forgot Mediaeval and Renaissance - they're in there somewhere too.

Don't really have a favourite, depends how I'm feeling. Not into all C20 stuff - it depends on the piece.

Classical & Baroque; none of this over-dramatic Romantic or illogical modern stuff!

JS Bach can do no wrong. Mozart all sounds the same, but all sounds great. Not a mad fan of romantic works. C20 stuff is interesting to listen to, but nothing I listen to for enjoyment, really :-) Edit: Oh, and Abba. They rule too.
