Just about to leave my current choir and look for a new one.
Elmo - for Christmas stuff, you could start with "Carols for Choirs" book 4. I'll look through my gubbins for any other stuff you might find useful.
Cheers

Thanks KatyJay No I'm trying to avoid conducting rev since a) I'm not v good at it, b) I'm music advisor and not supposed to do everything and c) Conducting rev is way harder than our conducting exam was by a million times!

Yeah! I was supposed to conduct Can you feel the love tonight, but that's so hard because it is mostly just a soloist throughout and she does her own thing!

lol!
But then they all look at you like "you're the music student, why can't you do it?" (well they don't but I think it!)
which stresses me out big time!

I know! hehe at least it's not just me!
Except in ours, this year, there was this girl who thought she knew what she was talking about. And she kept saying "oh that's just the next note up" and I was like "ermmmm no!"

I would love to be in a choir, trouble is, everytime i've joined one in the past they find out I play piano and then I get bullied into playing piano instead My teacher wants me to join our local classical choir and I think they already have someone so i'll give that a go when things calm down abit.

Just don't tell them you play piano, or just refuse. They can't make you if you'd rather sing.

I run a choir at school - about 10 girls, all aged 11 - 14. Any good songs I should try with them?
