Ehup. I met a singing teacher recently who pointed me to www.schubertline.co.uk. The range of song scores on this site is fantastic. You can print out an individual score for £1.20, or buy subs for unlimited use - £25.00 for 12 months, for example. All the songs are out of copyright, so the copies are legal. They are not downloadable files; you have to print them. A fabulous feature is the ability to transpose prior to printing. This singing teacher has identified Heidi as a coloratura soprano and she usually needs songs transposed into a higher key than those printed in anthologies. This feature has saved me a small fortune already (and no small amount of work as I cannot transpose at sight ;D.) You need the free download of Sibelius Scorch to preview the scored, but there is a link if you do not already have it. Anybody up for a laugh can 'play' the scores through scorch. This feature plays a synthesized midi file - hysterical ;D Steve

Yes it is good. Most singers I know use it, as song books tend to be jolly expensive and few songs are printed as single works.
There is some free download stuff too, and it's also a fun way to practise sightreading - you pick an obscure song, sing it from the preview page, then play the midi to check how accurate you were.

whoa, that looks great...should I hide it from my husband, who wants to do more singing? Thing is, if he finds it, I might be required to polish up a few very tatty keyboard skills...

I've been using Schubertling for a couple of years now. It is excellent. I purchase a subscription, then can give legal copies of music to my pupils. I've saved a fortune!
