That's me... Our rep is very nice, and gave me all sorts of useful tips about my programme, what to photocopy for the inquisitors examiners, what to wear...but my certificate for my last effort took from June to November to reach me. The Donny certs arrive within a few weeks of candidates taking the exam. The Stingythorpe rep insists on holding a Presentation Ceremony two months after the event. Candidates unable to attend this Ceremony can wait a looooonnnnnggggggg time. Just one of the reasons for the popularity of Donny. One of the great features of Trinity is their quick results turn around - the end of their 'session' (this might only be one day, for those unfamiliar with all this). Brilliant contrast, the first time I ever went through all this. Stingythorpe lot did theirs on Tuesday. Donny lot on Weds. Weds night, the Donny rep emailed the results to me; paper confirmation arrived the following day. 10 days later, still waiting for the Stingythorpe lot. I phoned the Stingythorpe rep, who said, "Sorry, only just received them so I am posting them today." Yeah, right *looked outside for flying pigs * Teachers presenting candidates to the AB don't know what fun they are missing ;D Steve

Finally got that blasted date. 26th June, just under 3 weeks notice...hmmm.. I still haven't. And I haven't had a reply to my phone call to the rep. I wish he had an email address - nothing on the Trinity site.

My trinity rep tells me the day if not the time when I enter. She's pretty good at communicating. I'm just concerned that as she is advancing in years whoever we get to replace her will be as good... that's if it isn't all centralised next year!

Phoned my rep again today...and of all things, he was the pianist playing for the Scottish Ballet Junior Associates last Sunday. One of my kids has just finished there, and the other will be starting as from August. Long chat about whether or not we can get our harpsichord into the exam centre...and still no times. The problem appears to be at the London end though. So - the date is known, the time can be estimated, and now we just need to sort out the continuo.

Woo. I'm not happy with the AB. I asked for my pupil to be put if possible on the same day as her teacher who was being entered by someone else. Not that hard really to fit in 10 minutes or so for one grade 2 exam. Too hard for the AB so it seems, the dates given are about 2 weeks apart, gah.

That should read "same day as her DAUGHTER" not teacher - that's unless you've not told me something......grade 8 clarinet on 26th June??!!!

I'm panicing about exmas now. Ours are the week beginning 3rd July, don't know what dates my lot will be yet though. I gave them all a 'practice lecture' before half term, and some took it on board. However there are about half of them that still sound like they're sight reading. IT's been a stressfull week. I can give extra time to some, but with a full timetable, and 18 of them taking exams, it's not possible to sort it out with all of them. I don't get paid for the extra time either.
I've never felt this stressed about exams before!!!! I think it's because a lot of mine this time are pass standard, who if they don't work, will fail. Last term, i had many merit and distinction candidates who, if they didn't work enough, they'd just get the next level down. This is all too much hard work!!!!!!!!! I have two doing grade 5 theory a week tomorrow as well!!!!
