I think your little one has reached the point at which you can relax. Granted, 64 is still a little slow but is within acceptable bounds I feel, if all the detail is there. If she can't remember where she put the details at 68 then will be time to end the hunt for extra speed. You will have to do this soon, anyway. You cannot risk loosing the detail again in the final lesson before the exam, just in case she can't find them again. I am sure she is going to do well. Enjoy your hen weekend ;D ;D ;D Steve

Days 'til exam: 8 Speed in this lesson: minim @ 65 I think we've hit a brick wall! It sounds nice though, so hopefully the extra details will pick up marks where the speed doesn't

It sounds nice though, so hopefully the extra details will pick up marks where the speed doesn't They will, unless your examiner is a speed freak - in this case you are stuffed. ;D All we can ever do when preparing kids for exams is our best. After that, we are at the mercy of individual examiners. So, no change there ;D Wish your little one good luck from all of us here. Steve

She has still upped the tempo a fair bit, so well done to her and to you for trying. Lets hope she gets a good mark .

She got 28 for it Comments: You observed the staccatos tidily and crisply and had this all under control, rhythmically and technically. A cheerful, un-rushed cha-cha. Her breakdown: Sonatina 24 Song 27 Cha-cha 28 Scales 18 Sight-reading 18 Aural 15 130 overall, very pleased!
