I just said goodbye & good luck to my last pupil I miss it already, but I can't see myself having the time or the energy to teach for at least a few years. That, and I need to be 'geographically stable'.

I've just looked at your website and you're getting married at the same time on the same day as my niece I hope you have a lovely day. I said goodbye to a pupil a couple of weeks ago, I know how hard it is at the time You have so much to look forward to though and i'm sure they all understand that!

Ooh, hope she has a lovely day too! I have lots of cards and presents, and their new teachers have all been very complimentary about their playing style! Still going to miss teaching though.

Sorry to read this, Dr S, but you have done the right thing. There can't be many of us here who have not seen\read descriptions of the work-load endured by doctors at the start of the careers. You are going to be one busy person; the last thing you will need in your precious time off is to be worrying about whether x has practiced her scales. Look to the future and think how much good you are going to do for kids in the years to come. You are going to help them in ways the rest of us can not even begin to imagine. Try not to feel sad. Steve
