Ehup folks. AF member Barry Thain sent me a lovely email this week. He included a link to a video recording of his son, Lawrence, playing the first movement of Mendelssohn's D minor trio, with violinist Alex Crutch and cellist Tom Connelly at a school concert. Lawrence was 14 at the time; the other boys were 16. The recording was made 3 years ago, so I would love to hear what they could do now. Barry is too modest to boast about his son. I have no such reservations, so I am doing it on Barry's behalf. Have a listen to these wonderful kids at www.ourmedia.org/node/253755. There is some humour as well as gorgeous playing. Lawrence's page turner drifted off at one point, or got lost, and missed a page turn, so Lawrence did it himself. The two boys turned to one another and flashed huge grins. Wonderful. I wasn't able to listen and download simultaneously - there does not seem to be an adequate buffer. I had to leave the file downloading in a separate window whilst I did other things - took about 20 minutes but well worth it. Enjoy. Steve

Nothing changes . Anyone else having problems listening to it now though? It stops quite soon near the start?

Don't know - I didn't save it. Maybe it is having trouble buffering again?

Nothing changes . Anyone else having problems listening to it now though? It stops quite soon near the start? Thank you dear, etc...... The way to hear this is to start it playing. Because the file plays more quickly than it downloads, playing quickly overtakes downloading so the sound stops. Downloading continues, so you have to do something else whilst it finishes, then you can go back and play through the file.
