Anyway, here's the pieces:- Bach partita in C minor Mozart Sonata in D K576 Chopin Nocturne in Db The syllabus says 30-35 minute programme and after timing those I can't fit anything else in, do you reckon i'd get away with those? This is similar to the LLCM Performer's Recital prog I offered in 1991: Bach E minor Toccata; Mozart Bb Sonata K 333, Chopin's Bercuese and the Brahms Op 79 G minor Rhapsody. The prog had to be 40-45 minutes in length. If in doubt, ask the relevant Board; they are always happy to advise on the suitability of the programme.

I will email to check, was just thinking that normally i'd be looking at 4 pieces for a diploma and not 3 but I guess that 2 of them are quite hefty and they fit the time limit. Have already had a reply back about centres and times so it looks like Norwich this coming Winter session.

I love the Rach cello sonata. Here is a tip if it is the first time the cellist is performing it; insist the cellist studies the piano part so s\he knows how many notes you have to play. ;D

Ah Ben, so you're doing the Rumba Toccata. My daughter is doing it as well - fun piece, isn't it? She's not decided on her A and B pieces yet. When are you doing the exam? Daughter is probably going to go for December-ish.

Ermm I am still undecided when to do it. I have 4 option...July 16th, End of October, November or 10-12th December...If i practiced enough I could get it done for July but with GCSE's etc it's whether I will get enough practice done. On the other hand I do not want to be doing the same pieces up until October/November when I could have done the exams 3months earlier.
