I heard this on Classicfm this morning on the school run:
Apparently male reindeer lose their antlers before December, but the females usually keep theirs until the babies are born in the spring... This means that all Santa's reindeer must be female - even Rudolph. The comment was that this makes sense because only females would be able to trail a fat man dressed in red all over the world in one night without losing their way...

Sounds to me like yet another attempt (feeble!) to disprove the existence of Santa Claus! EVERYBODY knows that his reindeer are magic...and that includes their antlers!
Honestly! Next thing they'll "prove" that one single sleigh couldn't possibly transport all those presents!

Next thing they'll "prove" that one single sleigh couldn't possibly transport all those presents! We took our kids to Lapland for a day trip last year and when they met Father Christmas I actually cried!!! It was so much more emotional because it was the real one ;D The reindeers we saw all had antlers so I guess they must have been female

Everybody who goes to Lapland comes back having loved it. I always envisaged it as something along the lines of Disneyland, but I guess not! I need a lottery win within the year if I'm ever to go; time is running out for my youngest as far as believing is concerned.

We were lucky, my mum won £40,000 on a scratchcard last October and I always said if I won the lottery I would go to Lapland, we went on the money mum gave us as a result of her win!!!

Honestly! Next thing they'll "prove" that one single sleigh couldn't possibly transport all those presents! Maybe they're all vacuum packed?
