Hi guys.
I am new here. I have tentatively read all the threads and thought about it for a while. Should I join? Shoudn't I join?
In the end, I took all my courage in both hands and registered.
What I really want to know is: What are the mods like? Are they strict? Friendly?
Erm, Steve, erm, is this ok?

Perfect. The mods here are a darn lot friendlier and fairer than on other fora I have been on. Woo

Steve, brother, all are welcome here... as long as there's no chuffing praying going on. Man, that was getting TOO MUCH on the "other place"

Refreshing 'alternative' forum here guys! Impressed that someone took the initiative and did something about it instead of putting up with it in silence like I did. Keep it up. Funny to see the same old friendly faces turning up!!! It's like old times, only better.

Hiya kids (the way I feel this morning maybe I should write "grandkids"!)
Just wanted to see whether this forum was as bad as BigBrother in censoring Welsh - yes it is!!
My location - I typed in the (completely true) name of my village and it's come up as thingyar waun. I will explain : Waun = heath, thingyar should read as this in formal Welsh - Pen + isaf = lower end, so whole thing means "lower end of the heath". In spoken Welsh we nearly always leave off the ending of words so the real spelling is Pen + isar + waun.
However we have to spell it out over the phone saying the first 6 characters very quickly together, rather than the first 5, as otherwise people think it's a wind-up!!
Nat knows I never swear anyway LOL! Well, only when she asks me to play difficult scales (for me they're all difficult, but I'm getting there).
Even after joining the "other place" I'm still a Newbie 'cos I'm more of a voyeur than a poster. Maybe I'll rectify that here!
