I've done it again! Just on the A55 from Bangor, going about 70mph, outside lane overtaking, next thing I see is this bloody pigeon hovering about car height right in front of me, I braked a little but it was too late! Smack! I found it quite funny until I looked in the driver wing mirror and saw no mirror! ROFL! That went with the pigeon! I was quite lucky the stupid thing didn't smack into my windscreen. I really have no joy with that darn A55 do I?! - 2 killed birds - 1 speeding offence (almost!) - 1 smashed wing mirror ROFL ;D

Has the whole mirror come off? You'll need to get it fixed ASAP - it's a legal requirement to have one on the car....

Yeah whole thing. I'm working tomorrow so I'll have to go after I finish.

The same happened to my mum a few years ago.... We lost ours to a car-wash though; an expensive car-wash that turned out to be .

Yeah, I dread to think what this is going to cost. When I smashed my mums mirror last year it was like about £100...oops...
My driving instructor would be so proud ROFL.

Ours was £76, including fitting. Does your car have electric door mirrors?

No just normal ones. Are the electric mirrors more expensive?

Yep, they have motors in them, need wiring into the car etc. so they cost a lot more to replace. What make of car do you have?

I have no idea , it's just some thing, nothing amazing so I don't know . Will have to risk driving it to work tomorrow because I need it.

You'll be fine, just try and get an appointment made for someone to fit it after work .

ROFL - pigeons deserve to die.

They do if they insist on hovering on a 70mph road with loads of cars! They're just asking to be smacked into pieces! Feel for my poor mirror though .

I do feel. Maybe you can claim on the pigeon's insurance?

Haha....poor pidgeon. We had two pidgeons flying around our house once and one flew right into the conservatory and smashed it skull and died, 1 minute later its mate did the same, and killed itself. It must have been trying to follow his mate. Ben
