Fantastic news SuzyMac I hate the process of buying and selling houses. We're thinking of having an extension built instead. I can cope with making cups of tea, and dealing with builders mess!

If its any interest Ours is Yorkshire Building Society and the've been great. We've remorgaged with them once to get a better interest rate, and if we do extend, although we have some capital sitting around for such a project, we may need to remorgage again to cover any little extras.

We've gone for the Halifax, because they're our bank, and were willing to lend us lots of money at a good rate . Furthermore, they offer an all-inclusive legal service for £700, and if the house falls through one doesn't have to pay a penny.

Our first Mortgage was with the Halifax.
