Does anyone know of a recording of Clementi Sonata in C, op.34 no.1. I'm working on it for Performer's certificate and it'd be useful to hear someone playing it, but all I've found is a MIDI version which isn't very useful. Help appreciated, thanks.

Do you want a free recording?

Ooh, good find. It doesn't have to be free, but I wasn't able to find anything at all from the UK, so I suppose I might have to get it shipped (or do without). Clementi doesn't seem very popular. And that extract was faaasst

I was playing Clementi earlier actually, well the Sonatinas . Yeah, I can't find anything in the UK either. Is the Sonata good to play?

It's pretty good - I'm only learning the 1st movement. For Performer's Certificate there's a fairly limited list of classical pieces, and I didn't really fancy any of the others (plus I needed something with a bit of bulk cos my timing was coming up a bit short). It's reminiscent of Mozart in that the notes aren't especially hard (except for a nasty octave section) but it's hard to play well.
