The first topic (pinned at the top) can't be replied to - it's just an announcement. I take it you've figured it out since then, though .

somewhere to discuss early music, set aside, for itself, instead of letting it sink in a morass of random discussion about not a lot... *getting excited* just back from my recorder lesson, too. *goes off to start new thread*

I believe i may be converting from ABRSM forums to here...it looks more interesting! Erm, as a matter of interest I wonder if someone here could assist me re. the ABRSM forums? I've been looking at them for ages and recently had 3 goes (yes 3) at registering. Each time I get an account and can log on but can't post. I get an email saying something to the effect that a moderator needs to approve the account but I never hear anything. After a few days the account has gone. I know it's been removed as I can register again using the same ID as before. I tried contacting a moderator or admin but I can't because I don't have posting rights. The mailbox which sends out authorisation codes is of course automated so any attempt to reply to that is ignored. I bet it's dead easy and obvious but I'm clearly a bear of little brain.

That sounds strange... I registered before they changed to have the authorization required, so I don't know. Are you trying to use the same username as you have here?
