My husband and I spent a happy hour or two down at his workplace this morning, recording this and that, in an effort to get some material immortalised for Christmas pressies for relatives. After a slight setback because the first few takes were rubbish, and then we discovered the microphone was turned off ;D we had a ball, and played up as best we could. We seemed really to be concentrating - so much that we had to stop because we got tired, whereas normally we busk together until one or other of us feels guilty about it. It felt as if we were listening sooooo hard to what we were doing, more than we would if we'd not been recording it for posterior er... posterity. A pity it still didn't record after we switched the mike on, eh? ;D

I misunderstood the title abit, I thought you meant do you listen carefully back to yourself ;D My reply to this would be no because I just want it to finish because I hate listening to myself whether it be piano or singing I do concentrate a lot when I know i'm being listened to though whether it be a live audience (rarely) or my minidisc. I am also hoping to do a CD as pressies and many a time i've happily recorded myself only to discover that the microphone was still switched off ;D
