Looked like medial ligaments, which is 5-6 months. Poor lad I wouldn't panic yet. We play better against better teams - the more space Gerrard, Lampard, Rooney, Cole et al have to exploit, the more they can do.

Aye, anterior cruciate has gone, as well as probable medial damage. I think he's got another scan then surgery in next week or two. He won't play this year apparently.

Now for a very tense Italy-Czech Republic game, couldn't get any closer in that group! Have taken over the lounge with tea, chocolate and seating plans! Bliss!

Another fairly shaky performance from England. I'll risk Nat's wrath and say on that form we'll almost certainly lose to Holland or Portugal.

. I think on that form, yes, we will lose to Holland or Portugal if they play well. However, I thought although there were ridiculous moments of stupidity mostly from Lampard, we kept the ball and passed it much better than in previous games. I thought Rooney was really good and am glad he lasted the whole game, that will do a world of good for his match fitness. That formation might not work against better opponents, but I don't think it did too much harm tonight and at the end of the day, we got the result. Again, that's what matters.

Now this is funny, I just read on TOP that there were lots of unnecessary passes. Now, ok not every single pass was great, but for goodness sake, everyone moans when we don't pass the ball and the match we do everyone moans again. There really is no hope. Why on earth can't the British, or whoever get behind their national sides? Every single darn sporting event that comes up everyone is slating the English participants. It's no wonder they do badly sometimes when all they have is press constantly moaning and the public never being satisfied with anything less than a 10-0 beating of Brazil.
